North Scottsdale here is the large area north of the 101 freeway up to the Carefree Highway and west of Scottsdale Road. Within this area can be found a wide assortment of homes, from apartments, to luxury semi-custom homes to condominiums. For example, the Pinnacle Reserve is a subdivision located at Miller Road and Happy Valley Road. This gated neighborhood contains single family homes built by Trend Homes in 2000. Custom homes also can be found in the Pinnacle Reserve. The homes in this subdivision range from 2,904 to 6,000 square feet. Nearby Arizona Silverado offers single family homes built by Kaufman and Broad in a smaller sized community. These homes range in size from 1,400 to 2,400 square feet.
Further north is the community of Estancia, which is a private, guard-gated community of luxury custom homes in the Pinnacle Peak area. There are 223 home sites and 39 Tuscan-style villas, many on the Estancia Golf Club Course. Also within this map area are the luxury communities of Troon, Windgate Ranch, DC Ranch and Silverleaf.

Thing To Do: Numerous entertainment, dining and shopping options can be found along Scottsdale Road, from The Summit at Scottsdale to El Pedregal. In the middle are The Shops at Pinnacle Peak. Further south are the outdoor shopping malls of Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarter, The Shops at Zocallo, and the Promenade Shopping Center.

Schools: Arizona’s largest school district, Paradise Valley Unified, serves most of this area, including Pinnacle Peak Elementary School, Grayhawk Elementary School, Mountain Trail Middle School and Pinnacle High School, among others. All of these schools are A rated schools.
